Investigator Bill Spence joined Pyr-Tech in January of 2022 after over 25 years of service with the Springfield, Missouri Fire Department. During his career, he served as a Fire Marshal for over 17 years and later lead and supervised the department’s Fire Investigation Unit.

Investigator Spence has been a Certified Fire Investigator with the State of Missouri since 2002 and a Federal Bureau of Investigations Certified Bomb Technician since 2004. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree from Drury University and two Associates Degrees from Missouri Southern State University.

Bill is a Certified Fire Investigator through the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI) and holds his Fire Marshal designation with the Center for Public Safety Excellence (CPSE). Bill is based in Ozark, Missouri and is a licensed Private Fire Investigator by the State of Missouri.
